About Catalina:

I have been tutoring math since I was in college. I love working with kids and enjoy seeing them succeed. My tutoring methods are well defined and children find me easy to understand. I have been able to help students who are struggling with math concepts and improved their lives through mathematics.

I have two children of my own, a 5th grader and a 11th grader so I understand how children learn. My background is in mathematics and I have also been teaching all level math courses including prealgebra, Algebra 1 and 2, geometry, trigonometry, precalculus, Calculus 1, business and finite math for 15+ years. I have a BA in Math and MEd in Math Education from Temple University. I am Certified in Math (6-12).

I am teaching Algebra online for Everest University. I am also substituting at Holy Trinity Academy and I am an Adjunct Faculty at BCC.

I am passionate about tutoring children through problem solving so they can fully relate math to everyday life. Children must learn this process if they are to deal successfully with problems they will meet in school and elsewhere.

I am an enthusiastic and energetic person who will encourage your child to think outside the box and will provide him/her with a rich problem-solving experience through my knowledge and skills. I am looking forward to tutoring your child!
